SVP, IT Design and Development



The SVP IT Design and Development oversees the teams responsible for system architecture, design, analysis, development and quality assurance. This position partners and collaborates with internal and external partners in defining and developing the overall IT Design and Development roadmap for the Company.



Duties & Responsibilities:



Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:




  • Lead the IT Design and Development teams through clearly defining objectives/priorities, and drive ongoing development of these teams

  • Build transformational strategic multi-year roadmap for IT architecture and development

  • Lead in-house and outsourced, onshore and offshore, teams through system implementation & upgrades to core platforms and digital platforms.

  • Oversee system architecture, development and analysis through the software development lifecycle and drive the utilization of SDLC and agile methodologies such as scrum

  • Oversee strategic planning of Software Quality Assurance and QA Automation across the IT organization

  • Oversee enterprise application management & implementation.

  • Establish team and vendor KPI & SLAs to monitor and ensure optimal performance

  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover and implement ways the company can gain competitive advantage and efficiencies to ensure that the company is well positioned for future changes

  • Prepare board executive communications regarding strategy relevant to growth, earnings, market position and differentiation, and risk detection and mitigation

  • Responsible for innovation, agile development and rapid success across the company by continual refinement and management of processes, best practices and policies

  • Prepare reports that provide guidance to the CIO in order to determine the department's effectiveness in supporting the business

  • Oversee capital and operating budget preparation and monitor on an on-going basis to ensure spending is prudent and effective

  • Direct and foster strategic vendor partners in delivery of their services and support of the company's business objectives

  • Approve purchases of equipment and establish and maintain partnerships with providers

  • Other Duties as assigned



Qualifications:

Education:




  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university (preferably in business or engineering). MBA or advanced degree preferred



Experience/Skills Needed:




  • 10+ years leadership experience

  • 10+ years of related IT experience

  • IT experience in the cable/telecom industry preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of Capital and Operating budget management experience

  • Experience leading IT design and development

  • Proven Executive, Professional Leadership experience

  • Proven ability to negotiate tangible/intangible items with strategic procurement partners

  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory, accounting, and contract review and negotiations



Computer Skills:




  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office and G Suite
