WOW! is currently hiring a Manager of Strategic Field Sales!

Location (in or near): Columbus, GA., Valley, AL., Newnan, GA or Livonia, MI

The Manager, Strategic Field Sales, is responsible for effectively managing and monitoring a hybrid team of strategic reps. The team is responsible for the sale of WOW! Business portfolio standard business products for strategic accounts made up of Data Center, E-Rate, Military, and defined strategic accounts.

What YOU need is:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Responsible for achieving both revenue and expense budget to ensure the department achieves the desired profit margin and EBITDA

  • Ensure optimal sales team staffing, performance, and training readiness of team

  • Helps to establish quota by rep, goals, standards, revenue budget, and expense budget for the strategic channel

  • Maintains expertise on the WOW! Business portfolio of products/services to effectively lead a team: Ethernet, Internet, and the entire suite of Voice offerings to business customers ranging from 5-300+ employees

  • Ensures competence and continuity (i.e. retention) of qualified employees through optimum selection, training, development, appraisal, and motivation techniques

  • Responsible for setting and achieving budget in each of the strategic verticals (Data Center, E-Rate, Military, and defined strategic accounts)

  • Responsible for New Label opportunities and the growth of existing labels within the strategic channel

  • Develops business plans with each strategic rep while coordinating sale promotions and incentives to meet business goals and objectives

  • Ensures team and individual achievement of all sales, plus quality, goals, and standards

  • Monitors employee performance; effectively coaches and advises to cultivate role compatibility, maximum effectiveness, and ongoing continuous improvement and growth. Regularly and appropriately addresses personnel issues/performance issues in accordance with company policy

  • 100% compliance to Saleforce.com (company CRM) which includes on-going: preparation, analysis, and maintenance of records of individual (as well as group) sales and performance activities relative to business goals and objectives

  • Ensures accurate forecasts in Salesforce.com of annual, quarterly, monthly & revenue unit numbers through experience with data processing and analysis

  • Collaborates and coordinates efforts with other internal teams and groups throughout Commercial Sales to ensure functional effectiveness and efficiency for the overall territory team structure

  • Assesses, develops, and implements best practices that contribute to improved performance and overall success

  • Models the way “from the front” to set the cadence and pace for the team

  • Coaches, develops, appraises, and motivates Strategic Account Executives to achieve and exceed assigned objectives

  • Ensures delivery of ongoing education for all team members in sales planning tactics; ensures compliance with organizational training requirements

  • All other duties as assigned

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Business or related study from four-year College or University

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • 5 years demonstrated success selling telecommunications services in the Enterprise/GEM space, including 3-5 years of experience managing individuals selling to enterprise customers

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills

  • Leadership Skills: Experience motivating, resolving conflicts, and making difficult decisions

  • Time Management: Being effective at managing employees, customers, and management projects all at once

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Computer Skills:

Microsoft 365

Billing software systems
