Job Description



Product Manager-Voice

This dynamic individual will be a key contributor in the Product Organization driving the evolution of our voice services offering. If you have the drive and passion to be responsible for end to end product management and new product development. The Product Manager, Voice, will lead a roadmap focused on curating promotions and feature improvements to drive customer usage and overall happiness. Is responsible for the oversight and daily lifecycle management of the company's residential and commercial voice services, portals and related applications. Products supported include Hosted VoIP, PRI/SIP, Business Lines, and Residential Phone.



What You'll Be Doing:


  • Responsible for all aspects of product management of product lines including, product line upgrades, rate cases, hardware inventory and forecasting and product definition so that the product retains an ambitious value

  • Run customer facing applications and portals that provide incremental value to the service and customer utility

  • Lead efforts to upgrade customer base through product migrations, version releases and other modifications

  • Run product requirements for all new feature functionality and product enhancements to be used by other cross-functional teams as needed for product and customer support

  • Direct the product positioning and product marketing needs for the service with marketing, sales and training teams

  • Direct day-to-day activities with key vendor partners to ensure product stability, customer experience, feature implementation and growth in-line with company goals

  • Analyze product performance and trend monthly statistical data to ensure performance meets customer growth and retention goals

  • Ensure that the products are supported by clearly documented operational procedures and processes

  • Work reciprocally with other departments to ensure comprehensive training, marketing and operational plans exist to sell and support the products

  • Monitor industry developments (technical, regulatory and otherwise) and apply critical thinking for strategic and consumer impact analysis and product improvement

  • Guides future product decisions based on product utilization and customer and employee insights. Maintain open communication with field, technical and operational support groups to accomplish project implementation and company-wide initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned



What We're Looking For:


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience

  • Master's degree preferred



Experience/Skills Needed:


  • 5+ years of voice product management experience

  • Telecom or similar high tech product or service management, or a combination of product-operations, technical product marketing or project management experience

  • Knowledge / familiarity with Metaswitch soft switch and experience in business and residential voice services, and VoIP offerings

  • Highly-motivated self starter with the ability to communicate and work dedicatedly with internal customers to identify business needs, recommend solutions and provide counsel as needed to ensure the most positive outcome

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to present work with a problem to resolution orientation

  • Shown ability to lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving, process development and project implementation

  • Solid understanding of operational procedures in support of product implementation, delivery and support
