Job Description

Sales -- Outbound Associate



Summary:


As an Outbound Sales Associate, you'll use a variety of tools, resources and skills to achieve multiple sales goals. This is a true outbound sales role in a highly competitive environment. You'll make calls to existing and potential customers to sell or proactively re-contract them with WOW! products and services that best meet their needs. In addition, you could also use various alternatives through InContact to engage customers via the web, chat or email as needed and directed.



Duties and Responsibilities:


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:


* Achieve a targeted number of connects or proactive renewals - relative to budget and department objectives, working dedicated projects and assignments
* Follow new and established processes and procedures regarding customer contact within the framework of prescribed touch-points or cadence
* Accurately assess individual customer needs and issues to recommend appropriate features, benefits and value of WOW's product. Working to sell all lines of business relative to marketing campaigns and initiatives
* Make a minimum number of outbound calls as directed or with potential customers expressing interest in WOW products or services or leads from designated data-bases or marketing lists
* Follow outlined process for accurate and timely installation, security (customer and company), order entry, and disclosure (all requirements)
* Maintain the sales leads databases, CRM and billing systems
* Follow the EPIC call flow and process to maximize sales potential
* Maintain knowledge of current company procedures, packages, and policies; additionally, communicate competitive information obtained through customer interaction with the management team
* Attend all coaching and development meetings including huddles and participate with professional observations and feedback
* Stay abreast of marketing plans, industry trends and competitor activities
* Embrace company values and ensure all activity and communications entail Respect, Integrity, Spirit of Service and Accountability
* Other duties as assigned

Education:


* High school diploma or equivalent
* College education in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred



Experience/Skills Needed:


* At least one year of sales experience strongly preferred
* Able to read and interpret documents (scorecard metrics/data, safety rules, sales presentations, product information and training materials)
* Able to present complex information on the telephone to customers clearly and professionally
* Able to manage projects and tasks independently as part of a virtual team
* Able to document customer interactions in writing
* Use persuasive techniques effectively to overcome objections
* Like solving practical problems presented by customers
* have a resilient, positive attitude
* Thrive in a fast-paced call center environment



Computer Skills:


* Experience using a unified contact solution or outbound dialer a plus
* Need to be windows proficient and capable of learning complex billing systems (ICOM's or USHA experience) a plus
* Need to be Microsoft Office proficient
* Customer Relationship Management CRM (i.e., Salesforce experience) a plus
