Manager, Network Assurance

This dynamic Manager will focus on support of the WOW backbone which includes the following networks: Access, Transport and Network. This role is responsible for reviewing outage incidents and procedures to increase performance, reliability and redundancy through automation and dedicated measures. What you will be doing:


  • You'll provide high level technical support for all advanced network services including MPLS core, metro networks, business services infrastructure and other technical hardware as required and lead and handle daily network services operations team

  • You will provide reports and reporting tools for Marketing and Local Operations on network services performance

  • You'll act as the liaison between the technical teams and internal customers such as Marketing, Tech Ops, NOC, and the Customer Care Center

  • Provide technical evaluations for each region and assist in network design as needed to keep pace with the growth of our subscribers and technology

  • You will investigate methods and procedures to better monitor our network and respond to issue and deliver training and act as a resource to NOC staff as well as other technical departments

  • Collaborate with Regional operations and provide onsite assistance to ensure compliance with company standards network related equipment

  • Update existing and develop new documentation of methods and procedures, incident reporting and network configuration and provide after-hours technical support and technical troubleshooting for all regions including providing proper customer concern to corporate personnel



What we're looking for:


Education:

BS/BA in computer science or related field preferred



Experience/Skills Needed:

Minimum 5 years management experience including one of the technologies: IP Backbone, CMTS or Transport.


Experience would be in the Service Provider or MSO space preferred



Experience with one or more of the vendor's equipment:


  • Nokia Routers

  • Arris CMTS

  • Ciena Transport

  • Cisco Transport

  • Juniper Routers/Switches


Computer Skills: Familiar with most of the following protocols:



  • MPLS -- RSVP/LDP

  • Routing -- BGP, OSPF, ISIS and redistribution

  • Transport -- DWDM Design, wavelength provisioning, CLR/DLR reports and ROADM
