Job Description

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) exists to provide generalist Human Resources support to designated WOW! functions and/or locations. Coordinates and implements Human Resources initiatives directly supporting business initiatives.  This position works closely with relevant Human Resources team members in providing service to employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Establishes strong relationships with business partners to ensure HR support is aligned with business priorities
  • Works closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure necessary coordination for employee onboarding
  • Completes new hire orientation for employees, ensuring appropriate understanding of all company policies and procedures 
  • Provides counsel to management and education to employees on all company policies and procedures 
  • Supports process improvement by researching best practices and making appropriate recommendations 
  • Serves as the local contact for benefit related issues, utilizing appropriate resources to achieve timely resolution for the employee.   Serves as the primary point of contact to employees for all questions/issues related to policies, benefits, pay, etc. 
  • Provides guidance to the management team on the handling of all employee relations matters, involving HR management as necessary 
  • Works closely with the HR team in proactively identifying and coordinating communication and activity supporting a positive work environment
  • Advises employees on leave and disability requests. Utilizes the outsourced system to track disability status and pay issues per corporate guidelines.
  • Supports all required compliance activity

  • A two year college degree (human resources management, business, etc.) is preferred

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • The qualified candidate must possess 1-3 years related experience (performing the tasks listed above)
  • An equivalent combination of both experience and education will be considered
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate effectively with employees both individually and in small groups.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality in dealing with all documents, files, conversations, etc
  • Outstanding organization skills are required, with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Must be able to effectively utilize resources to facilitate problem resolution

Computer Skills: 

  • Must possess strong computer skills, with proficiency in GSuite products (sheets, forms, docs and slides)
  • Familiarity with HR systems is strongly preferred
