HFC Standards Manager


 


The Manager, HFC Standards is responsible for the development and tracking of Standards and process within the HFC Network including the development and tracking of KPI's that measure the performance of the network and how well WOW! delivers services to our customers.



Duties and Responsibilities:



Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:




  • Works collaboratively with Field Ops and construction to create Standards

  • Assists department with the creation and maintenance of Field training curriculum

  • Recommend Strategies to senior management for the maintenance and management of the HFC network

  • Assists in the development and tracking of budgets for the HFC network health and monitoring

  • Consolidate Fiber records and track capacity

  • Develop fiber designs and plans to include cost efficiency and growth

  • Establish and maintain strong communication and working relationship with all internal and external customers

  • Work collaboratively with vendors to develop standards and product recommendations for the HFC network

  • Develop and maintain documentation of HFC network

  • Provide input and support to WOW's GIS team updating and documenting HFC records

  • Corelate HFC and service history data to predict customer calls and respond proactively to reduce call center calls and truck rolls

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:



Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school



Experience/Skills Needed:



  • Three to five year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, interpret and edit Auto Cad and other Mapping tools

  • Ability to find and organize performance data to create KPI's for the HFC network



Computer Skills:



Word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, email, inventory, contact management
