Job Title:                     Analyst, Systems II – Billing

Reports To:                 Mgr., CMS Solutions & Development

FLSA:                          Exempt

Department:                IT/Billing Operations

Summary: 

The Billing Systems Analyst II, is responsible for supporting Billing Operations interactions with internal departments as it pertains to billing system functionality and operations.   This role works with information gathered from the marketing and product teams, and internal users to create and configure the billing system in a way that meets customer and business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those below:

  • Configure the billing system to meet the requirements necessary to sell products
  • Configure the billing system to automate provisioning for phone, HSD and video products
  • Enhance the billing system’s capabilities by modifying the configuration based on business requirements
  • Build, test and deploy new product offerings within the billing system.
  • Apply quality assurance principles and methodologies to define test approaches and test plans
  • Setup reusable test cases
  • Supports all internal Billing Operations activities and projects
  • Assist with billing system analysis
  • Escalates complex configuration issues to more senior engineers
  • Other duties as assigned

-Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or equivalent technical experience

-Experience/Skills Needed:

  • 2-4 years hands-on experience with a billing/customer care system
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of billing systems and billing functionality
  • Understands billing system integration with OSS/ BSS architecture
  • Experience testing & performing quality assurance in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Must have extremely strong data analytical skills; capable of utilizing SQL and SQL based tools and able to draw accurate conclusions from data
  • Strong organization skills are required, with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks 
  • Must be able to manage priorities, and work in a self-directed manner, and deliver work product on time
  • Capable of developing relationships with internal customers and leading discussions to identify and address business requirements and obstacles
  • Experience with telecomm billing platform is strongly preferred 
  • Specific experience with billing system platforms a plus
  • \Experience testing & performing quality assurance in a fast paced, agile environment, specific experience with billing system platforms a plus.

-Computer Skills:

  • Must have strong PC skills including Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with telecomm billing platform is strongly preferred
