Job Description

The Staff Accountant participates in general ledger closing activities on a regular basis; including preparation of account reconciliations, calculating adjustments, preparing journal entries, and maintaining records in an organized manner. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Timely and accurate preparation of journal entries

  • Analyze monthly ledger activity to complete accurate balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Research variances and propose adjustments

  • Preparation of company bank account reconciliations

  • Analyze, prepare and maintain schedules for accounting accruals

  • Formulates financial analysis and reports

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting accuracy

  • Prepare schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits.

  • Responsible for other ad hoc reports and projects as assigned

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from a four year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, internship acceptable

  • Must be detail oriented, and possess great accuracy and organizational skills

  • CPA candidate preferred

  • Audit experience preferred

  • Comfortable working remotely

Computer Skills:

  • Experience with NetSuite software helpful but not required

  • High proficiency with MS Excel and analysis/problem solving capabilities

  • Overall understanding of how each accounting process (i.e. G/L, A/R, A/P) impacts the others

The minimum base pay salary for this position is $45,380. Salary may be negotiable based on experience. The minimum salary does not include any other pay elements in which this position may be eligible.
