Job Description

The Senior Director, Sales Channel Operations will cross-functionally support development of strategies for the Commercial and Residential Sales Channels. This position will be responsible for leading budget development, initiative prioritization, identifying new sales opportunities and partnerships, aligning commission plans, and managing initiatives to improve reporting focused on sales productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Leads efforts to develop overall channel strategy for Residential and Commercial Sales, working with SVP in each department.
  • Provides leadership and direction to team, including but not limited to hiring, disciplining, motivating and assessing management performance, and identifying developmental needs and solutions
  • Creates multi-year sales plans and strategy aligned with company business plan and priorities
  • Identifies and prioritizes sales channel initiatives to achieve company goals, including strategic partnerships, sales enablement activities and reporting initiatives
  • Builds capability that supports increased speed to action to pull levers necessary to increase connects, revenue and / or manage cost
  • Manages communications to sales channels on strategic goals, shifts in strategy, new initiatives, product launches, offers and sales incentive plans
  • Drives annual and quarterly budget process for sales and expenses, commission plans, sales operating plans and quarterly business reviews
  • Prioritizes investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity. Works closely with leaders across departments to understand company sales and technology strategy, creating synergies across Residential and Commercial. 
  • Evaluates and updates sales commission plans for all channels aligning to company’s sales priorities and unit goals
  • Optimizes sales operations team to support growth goals while driving visibility and transparency across channels and operations to align performance to targets
  • Works closely with sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements, KPIs and performance management programs and monitoring/QA required to ensure sales organization success
  • Leads both the Commercial and Residential Web Leads strategies
  • Drives improvements in leads management strategy, processes and reporting.
  • Works cross functionally to optimize the company’s leads strategy, processes, leads distribution and overall lead yield performance
  • Support Sales reporting, works cross-functionally with business intelligence to create, develop requirements and execute reporting needs
  • Supports executive and senior level reporting to support commercial and residential sales needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university and ten years of related experience including seven years of sales management or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

Experience/Skills Needed

  • 10 years of related sales leadership and management experience in the communications industry or equivalent combination of education and operational experience
  • Knowledgeable about sales channel strategy, go to market planning and sales enablement and reporting
  • Senior level analytical and presentation skills (with the ability to present to C-level executives) 
  • A collaborative, cross-functional, action-oriented approach
  • Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking, strategic and analytical skills
  • Experience communicating and reporting to senior executives
  • Proven track record as a leader, demonstrates experience and expertise leading sales teams
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership
  • Ability to speak in public and motivate others
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, detail-oriented and able to multi-task under pressure
  • Ability to work beyond normal business hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Has sales commission design experience to support the commission administration team

Computer Skills:

Excellent computer skills including all Google Suite and Microsoft office products. Previous experience in Salesforce and Tableau preferred.
