Job Description

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will manage and perform work directly related to the creation, analysis and forecasting of company financials.  The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis collaborates and partners with various cross-functional departments to design and access financial, operations and customer data, create models, identify trends and assess the financial impact of key activities to ensure sound financial decision-making.  Responsible for complex financial modeling, forecasting, special projects and other analysis as needed.

What you'll do:

  • Provide financial leadership to internal Business Partners and other Finance team members

  • Direct or perform analysis and modeling of customer, financial or operational data and provide insights to drive profitability through complex data collection and analysis partnering with cross-functional teams

  • Responsible for preparation and analysis of financial and other operational reporting. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis

    • P&L Budgeting, tracking, and forecasting across various aspects of the business

  • Develop strategies to enhance reporting and the analysis of trends

  • Develop and manage departmental processes to ensure efficiency

  • Research and employ advanced techniques in gathering/mining customer, operational or financial data for use in sophisticated financial analysis

  • Execute value added analysis and decision support for key business projects and initiatives, to include evaluating ROI for spend and revenue scenarios

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, mentoring and developing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

Education/Experience:

B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with an Accounting or Finance concentration required

  • 5-8 years of proven complex financial analysis experience, preferably in a comparable industry

  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial issues and analysis

  • Understanding of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow interactions

  • Ability to evaluate complex financial analyses, proactively define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Must be able to manage conflicting priorities and to meet established timelines while maintaining accuracy in their work

  • Must possess an approachable and professional demeanor, have highly effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-based environment and interface with all levels of employees

Computer Skills:

  • Advanced level experience in all Microsoft products, especially Excel & PowerPoint.  Experience in Google G Suite, NetSuite and TM1 Reporting preferred.
