Job Description

The Commercial Product Director leads the active management and development of WOW!’s Commercial product portfolio encompassing services such as Business Internet, Data & Transport Services, Data Center based services, Managed Services, Voice and Hosted VoIP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Effectively engage with the Commercial sales team to incorporate market requirements into product portfolio to drive market share and customer revenue growth
  • Partner with Marketing to develop product and solution market positioning and lead generation
  • Drive Commercial product strategy in support of the company’s objectives
  • Lead product lifecycle and strategic product development to drive WOW!’s improved position in the market
  • Work with Finance to create and revise product business case analysis for existing and new initiatives
  • Actively collaborate and ensures alignment with the field, technical, and operational support groups to accomplish project implementation and company-wide initiatives
  • Actively lead the Commercial product portfolio P&L
  • Establish and maintain metrics to analyze and drive continuous improvement to product performance around customer experience and product P&L
  • Monitor and analyze product performance reporting to ensure EBITDA and growth objectives are on track
  • Other duties as assigned

-Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required, advanced degree preferred

-Experience/Skills Needed:

  • 5+ years of telecom industry experience preferred
  • 7+ years of Product Management and/or Product Development experience required
  • 5-7 years supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills
  • Proven leader in building high performance teams and actively collaborating across departments
  • Proven product management and product development experience
  • Strong financial analysis and project management skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of telecommunications product operations & industry developments
  • Solid technical understanding of IP networks, cloud and managed services
  • Solid understanding of operational processes from call handling to provisioning to dispatch to fulfillment and servicing
  • Solid understanding of IT support systems
  • Excellent organization and project management skills

-Computer Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills including G-Suite, Internet software, Database software
