Job Description

The Senior Manager, ServiceNow leads a high performing team of analysts and vendors acting as the technical staff responsible for the overall execution of business application development vision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Oversee application development and support for ServiceNow as a platform.
  • Apply Agile Development methodologies to manage the product backlog, groom and scope enhancements, and track the efficiencies of the development teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure we are providing world-class support for our customers.
  • Manage, coach, and develop internal candidates for future growth and succession planning.
  • Create strategies to leverage the ServiceNow platform as a part of the future state enterprise and solution architecture while also assisting with rationalizing applications across the enterprise
  • Advise and advocate for the platform’s ability to create business solutions while partnering cross-functionally across IT and business areas to ensure the best solution and approach is selected
  • Work directly with business leaders as required to create solutions that create automation and transparency, and drive adoption for all solutions
  • Map business processes to identify strategies, risks, and options when gaps are identified, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet business requirements while staying consistent with native architecture.
  • Create business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional specification documents, test plans, and test cases, user training documents, and implementation documentation as necessary
  • Work alongside the integration team to design, configure, and test integration between internal systems and external vendors.
  • Provide frequent and clear communications regarding the status of initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed of changes and work that is in progress
  • Responsible for day-to-day administrative and support activities of ServiceNow
  • Manage and execute ongoing system enhancement tasks, including configuration and testing of changes to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and update documentation and processes to ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationships with the HR, Sales, CIO, and CTO organizations to ensure that defined work streams and SMEs within each organization are aligned with the strategic business objectives of the organization.
  • Proactively recommends process improvements/solutions utilizing technology to solve business needs/problems while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of systems and capabilities with internal customers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

-Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Technology or a related field preferred.

-Experience/Skills Needed:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a technology leader in a fast-paced, distributed environment, including 3 years of experience managing ServiceNow
  • Experience managing a high performing team, identifying needs for growth, establishing development plans etc.
  • Vendor management experience of both onshore and offshore partners
  • Experience deploying ServiceNow Service Portal in a large-scale environment
  • Experience implementing and managing various ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITAM, ITOM)
  • Understanding of AI Chatbot use cases and application to solve real-world problems
  • Experience leading or managing cross-functional projects and product development activities
  • Experience leading agile work planning, feature prioritization, and cross-functional program management activities
  • Understanding of cloud technologies like AWS
  • Excellent strategic skills around product prioritization
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

-Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Applications i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Google Application Suite (G Suite)
