Job Description

The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for planning, improving, testing, and maintaining our Salesforce instance. Their responsibilities will include defining and documenting processes, assisting with implementations and customizations, debugging and troubleshooting application and user issues daily.

  • Understand all aspects of SFDC configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the SFDC release upgrades.

  • Implement, administer, and maintain changes to Salesforce and related tools for release schedule, projects, bugs, or ad-hoc requests.

  • Work closely with the technology team in the administration and development of Salesforce.

  • Set up and maintain profiles, roles, permissions, and groups.

  • Handle new user setup and deactivations.

  • Build and customize standard and custom objects including fields, page layouts, workflow and validation rules.

  • Handle data storage, sandboxes and licensing requirements.

  • Manage all security settings and conduct regular security/configuration audits.

  • Audit data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement on a periodic basis.

  • Perform mass data imports using the API or import tools.

  • Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by user groups or partners, perform analysis on data as required.

  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects or improvements to the SFDC platform.

  • Write technical procedures and documentation including diagramming, operations manuals, user guides, etc.

  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects and improvements.

  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide assistance with troubleshooting.

  • Should thrive in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations. Keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective. Ability to work independently and engage manager as needed.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.



Preferred requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification or related experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Administration.

  • Salesforce 201 Administrator certification required.

  • Salesforce configuration and custom development experience a plus.

  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to use the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of Visualforce, APEX programming, Triggers, Force.com APIs, and Web Services.

  • Experience in moving code from lower sandboxes to production environment and addressing issues related to functionality, integration, etc.

  • Cable/telecommunication experience strongly preferred.
