Product Manager, Video


 


The Product Manager, Video will be a key contributor in the Product Organization driving the evolution of WOW's video services offering. The Product Manager, Video will be responsible for end to end product management and new product development with a focus on content management and customer engagement. The Product Manager-Video, will manage a roadmap focused on curating content promotions and feature enhancements to drive customer viewership and satisfaction.



Duties & Responsibilities:



Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:




  • Manage the experience of how a customer engages with WOW's video products and drive process and feature improvements.

  • Manage an in-year product roadmap and long-term product strategy vision.

  • Author product requirements to define the business need and product offering for cross functional teams to develop and implement.

  • Monitor customer engagement with WOW's video products focusing on content consumption trends, identifying opportunities to promote linear and video on demand content and drive revenue.

  • Monitor product performance and benchmark performance against competitors and recommend strategy adjustments.

  • Manage content placement and promotional campaigns within the on screen guide to increase customer engagement and satisfaction

  • Monitor industry trends and regulations and apply critical thinking for strategic and consumer impact.

  • Partner with Finance to define a forecast, model the business and create a business case.

  • Participate in cross functional teams keeping all organizations informed on product direction, feature enhancements and bug fixes.

  • Works in collaboration with engineering, IT, Field, Care, local markets and the business to deliver products and meet company goals.

  • Provide input into marketing communications and customer education materials in support of product launches.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education




  • Bachleors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent related experience



Experience/Skills Needed:



  • 5+ years of video product management experience

  • Successful track record of managing multiple product lines, applying data driven metrics to increase product performance, and drive new product development from ideation to launch

  • Solid understanding of QAM video delivery, IPTV video devliery, IPG and Video on Demand

  • Prior experience with Dyanamic Ad Insertion, DRM, using a Content Management System

  • Experience auditing and managing video on demand, linear and OTT content through a Content Management System, creating promotional campaigns, and quantifying outcomes.

  • Strong financial analysis and critical thinking skills

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Comfortable interacting with Senior Leadership and 3rd party partners.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently.

  • Passion for understanding evolving industry trends and regulatory developments.

  • Some understanding of operational processes from call handling to provisioning to dispatch to fulfillment and field services.

Excellent computer skills including MS Office, MS Excel, MS Project and Jira
