Job Description

This individual will be primarily responsible for the management and support of infrastructure technology solutions for compute, storage, virtualization, and operating systems.  The position will partner with business and technical stakeholders to implement the technical requirements that guide all system-related decisions for operational excellence. The role will be responsible for taking the lead on daily infrastructure operations, the execution of system health checks, and the implementation of best practices in order to meet business goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide 2nd level support, incident resolution and troubleshooting for server, storage, virtualization, operating systems, and infrastructure issues
  • Change and configuration management
  • Write and maintain custom scripts (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for system efficiency and performance
  • Monitor and test performance for bottlenecks and implement solutions
  • Maintain security, backup (Actifio, Veeam), and redundancy strategies (VMWare HA and FT)
  • Develop and maintain knowledge bases to improve the supportability of the infrastructure

What we're looking for:

Credentials

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science, 5-7 years of experience, or a combination of both experience and education

Experience and Skills

  • Advanced VMWare and Windows Server experience is required
  • Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, Linux, or Actifio/Veeam experience is a plus
  • Ability to implement innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions through words and visuals
  • Most importantly, having the will and desire for maintaining operational excellence
