Network Engineer II

We are in search of a talented Network Engineer to join our winning team. The primary responsibility of the Network Engineer II is to assist in running the network infrastructure, and to monitor and participate in all related projects, support, and troubleshooting. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and quickly perform complex fault isolation and event correlation on all assigned network elements

  • Analyze chronic network imperfections for root cause source and recommend and appropriate corrective actions. Implement fix/correction as directed

  • Prepare written reports and other documentation necessary to communicate ideas, concepts, and details necessary to accomplish specific goals

  • Serve as the next level for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing IP related impairments

  • Perform technical training for Network I Engineers and NOC personnel

  • Monitor and handle unscheduled and scheduled maintenance work

  • Validate and review all configurations changes going into core network/Backbone

  • Proactively/actively monitor all network related issues using all tools available

  • Provide design and architectural support for MPLS/Backbone network elements

  • Ability to craft effective methods and procedures for group procedures

  • All other duties as assigned

  • You possess the ability to multitask, problem solve, think clearly and respond in a dynamic or fluid environment

  • You are reliable and thorough, self-motivated and willing to learn and chip in to building a successful team


  • Bachelors of Science or Applied Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or minimum 5 years' experience in an ISP environment

  • You should possess 3-5 years of proven TCP/IP experience including configuration of Juniper routers, Firewalls and switches

  • You are capable of configuring/designing/and implementing medium to large-scale networks using routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF

  • JNCIA and/or CCNA required and equivalent work experience. CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP desired.

  • Detailed working knowledge of MPLS; Multicast, BGP, OSPF, MPLS VPN's (Layer 2, Layer 3, VPLS, etc.) ISIS and RSVP

  • Experience with Cisco routers and switches is a plus

  • Strong work experience in BGP, OSPF, and MPLS environment. RSVP desired.

  • Basic work experience with Junos OS required
