Job Description

Summary:


The Marketing Manager is responsible for contributing to the development of the company's residential customer acquisition marketing strategy and plan, and then managing the implementation of the plan. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for managing and advancing the WOW! brand through internal and external communications, as well as generating brand strategies that grow market share and the brand's reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:



  • Manage acquisition marketing strategy execution to acquire new customers and meet company's overall subscriber objectives


    • Includes, but is not limited to management and execution of product incentives (e.g., gift cards, programmer promotions, third-party product promotions, etc.)

    • Oversee the creative development of marketing materials and communications pieces including, but not limited to, billboards, broadcast TV and radio, digital and social advertising, direct mail and local marketing materials (e.g., newspaper, shared mail, etc.)

    • Communicate marketing plans and details throughout the organization

    • Analyze and report on results, using results to guide recommendations and improvements for future plans

    • Provide day-to-day management of third-party advertising agency, print vendors, and database marketing partners


  • Manage corporate marketing strategy to support field teams and build upon field marketing goals


    • Support field marketing teams needs with regular communication and review of regional objectives and performance

    • Coordinate with field marketing and sales teams to implement and support acquisition activities locally to effectively compliment corporate marketing strategies in order to boost overall company performance

    • Work with field and corporate marketing teams and product marketing team to assess competitive landscape and collaborate on offer strategy


  • Manage WOW! brand


    • Generate brand strategies that grow market share and the brand's reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth

    • Act as the creative liaison between the marketing team and creative agencies and other third-party partners to develop creative that aligns with strategic objectives, brand guidelines and is consistent with brand voice

    • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies, including the launch of new products and services

    • Improve brand's performance, image and positioning compared to the competition

    • Manage and update brand guidelines documents and enforce proper execution of the brand throughout the organization and with external partners


  • Identify new opportunities for customer growth through alternate channels and leads management

  • Manage budget within corporate guidelines, monitor actual expenses for acquisition tactics and reforecast as necessary



  • Potential opportunity for management of contractors or full-time employees to direct their activities and productivity and delegate duties accordingly

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Education:


Bachelor's Degree and 5 years cable/telecommunications industry experience preferred. Some field marketing experience preferred.


Experience/Skills Needed:



  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships

  • Strong organizational skills, excellent follow through

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage a large number of multiple priorities and projects

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to write/edit a variety of marketing communication pieces including brochures, direct mail and other customer education/sales collateral and advertisements

  • Ability to work cross functionally and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external audiences
