Financial Planning Analyst

The main responsibilities of the Financial Planning Analyst position will include financial and operational reporting, financial and business case analysis, budget development, implementation and tracking, and other areas of operational finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

* Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators; highlight trends and analyze causes of unexpected variances
* Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making
* Assist with the development and management of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools
* Act as a critical resource for information and analytics in order to support and drive strategic decisions
* Develop and prepare financial reports for Business Units, and Functional Leaders and assist in the preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team

* Ability to grasp complex issues, interpret information and communicate financial issues and analysis to non-financial staff
* Understanding of GAAP and basic income statement, balance sheet and cash flow interactions
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Must be able to manage conflicting priorities and to meet established timelines while maintaining accuracy in their work
* Must possess an approachable and professional demeanor, have highly effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team based environment and to interface with all levels of employees


Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance with 2-5 years experience or an equivalent combination of both education and experience

Required to have knowledge of accounting principles and experience with financial modeling

Computer Skills:

Advanced level experience in all Microsoft products, especially Excel & PowerPoint. Experience in NetSuite and TM1 Reporting preferred.
