Job Description

Summary:


This position is responsible for developing and executing the overall plan for the field technical training to develop a workforce competent in exceeding customer expectations.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:



  • Oversee implementation of Regional Technical Training Program to meet internal and overall customer experience objectives for employees and partners with specific areas to include; safety; customer experience; sales; products and services, basic principles of troubleshooting, basic electronic, RF and digital theory

  • Conduct analysis and development of training materials and programs to support the Technical Career Path program

  • Establish annual and monthly calendar of training events

  • Develop, update, and maintain written training materials

  • Provide productivity analysis reports for management regarding training status and performance outcomes

  • Maintain open communication with all staff, including management, independent contractors, field and office personnel

  • Establish best practices across the region for superior customer service

  • Travel to multiple training locations 20%-35% of the time

  • Uses curricular materials such as slide decks, lectures, and learner guides to enhance the learning process

  • Provide feedback and coaching to trainees and leadership

  • Evaluate content curriculum and provide suggestions to refresh and update content

  • Collaboration with the Director of Training for training-related initiatives

  • Management of instructional classroom projects

  • Additional duties as required


Education:


High school diploma or equivalent


Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in telecom required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous Training/development experience preferred

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects at one time

  • Basic understanding of the MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Basic computer skills are preferred, including the use of internet and e-mail applications.

  • Experience with RF delivery methods is required

  • Experience with content development is preferred

  • Self-motivated, self-starter

  • Ability to work with small components

  • Ability to use close vision, peripheral vision and adjust focus

  • Ability to work in poorly vented areas such as attics, in extreme temperatures

  • Ability to move, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, pull, push, and grasp

  • Ability to lift up to 90 pounds

  • Physically able to work computer equipment and test equipment

  • Ability to work in environments that may contain dust, dirt, noise, insects and cleaning solutions

  • Ability to work safely near power lines and electrical equipment

  • Ability to drive Company vehicles in a safe manner

  • Must be able to meet the physical limit requirements of personal protective equipment, aerial lift equipment, ladders and/or gaffs that may be used in this position.
