Enterprise Architect - Integration


 


The Enterprise Architect -- Integration role will be responsible for assessing, defining, and implementing an Enterprise Integration & Orchestration solution for WOW!. The role will collaborate with multiple business disciplines and organizational tiers while leading the deployment of a more consistent, dependable, scalable, and intelligent integration platform for both WOW!'s customer & internal facing systems.



Duties and Responsibilities:



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:




  • Discover, evaluate, recommend, advocate, and/or showcase industry trends and technology options available to meet WOW!'s integration and orchestration objectives

  • Develop road maps (timeboxing the evolution of strategic and/or tactical enterprise capabilities), as well as define the measurable expected positive impacts to delivery timeframes, business operations, and financial performance based on changes delivered to the Enterprise

  • Define and document enterprise standards and guidelines related to the people, processes, and technologies influenced by the Enterprise Integration & Orchestration domains.

  • Work closely, across multiple business disciplines and tiers, to ensure alignment of strategic goals, plans, and deliverables with defined business objectives and priorities

  • Ensure that consistent and predictable documentation, development, testing, assurance, intelligence, and operations practices are realized across software delivery cycles

  • Remain closely aligned with initiatives across all software lifecycles phases (e.g. definition, design, implementation, testing, launch, optimization, upgrade, deprecation)

  • Deep engagement with strategic, design, documentation, development, testing, operations, reporting, finance, business, & executive stakeholders

  • Develop, review, and/or modify application source code, Continuous Integration/Deployment configurations, IaaS configurations, and similar tools / technology related to building, deploying, monitoring, or reporting on software development

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:




  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study



Experience/Skills Needed:




  • Thought leader, with deep subject matter expertise in software development, RESTful & Webservice interfaces, enterprise process/system orchestration, traditional & alternate SDLCs, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a track record of successfully delivering change while meeting existing business objectives.

  • Ability to provide technical, procedural, financial, and interpersonal mentorship, collaboration, and/or conflict resolution to business partners as required to meet business objectives

  • 10+ years' experience in Cable or Telecom industries

  • 10+ years of experience in end to end software development, automated testing, automated deployment, production monitoring, & enhancement cycles

  • 3+ years (each) working with multiple programming languages, middleware platforms, and operating environments

  • Track record for remaining unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor, and for being more interested in results than personal preferences

  • Track record for thinking about more than technology issues, and for integrating the technical with the business and information aspects for complete solutions

  • Motivation that is focused on long-term results

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation

  • Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting

  • Strong understanding of network and data center architecture, as well as application development methodologies

  • Must be able to work under pressure, along with demonstrating solid time management skills
