Dir, Vendor Mgmt, Selections & Performance Mgmt



The Director of Technology Vendor Mgmt, Selections & Performance Mgmt drives value for WOW! through strategic technology vendor partnerships. This role is directly responsible for reviewing, testing, and purchasing technology for use within the organization and will negotiate vendor contracts, policies, and are responsible for driving the ongoing management of WOW!'s technology vendors.



Duties and Responsibilities:



Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:




  • Develop technology category strategies that drive greater value, increased innovation, and reduced total cost of ownership

  • Work with internal stakeholders to optimize demand, determine requirements, and identify optimal models

  • Develop strong partnerships with strategic suppliers; drive value and innovation; reduce risk

  • Support Strategic Sourcing partners with contracting and negotiation

  • Develop an end-state strategy for IT vendor management which supports the organization and technology vision

  • Operate as change agent and champion for new vendors and products

  • Interact very closely with the VP's and Directors of the Development, Operations and Enterprise Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence (EDW/BI), on short and long-term strategic recommendations, complex deals, and challenging situations

  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing providers to drive desired outcomes, including leading quarterly business reviews, and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Work with Enterprise Procurement on Requests for Information(RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by collaborating with key stakeholders to define organizational needs, making sure they are clearly outlined and documented and driving the review and selection process

  • Work with Corporate Procurement to ensure appropriate SLAs are clearly documented in Terms and Conditions of vendor contracts and through the RFP process

  • Provide reporting that illustrates how vendors are performing in relation to contracted SLAs for review and consumption of the IT executive leadership team. Drives vendor compliance with established guidelines, and manages vendor accountability for fulfilling on agreements

  • Other duties as assigned

-Education:




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, procurement, finance or a related field or equivalent experience



-Experience/Skills Needed:




  • 7-10 years' vendor relationship management experience with demonstrated experience in building effective relationships that yield long-term value

  • Strong skills in coaching and developing

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and communicate with technical and non-technical staff

  • Strong understanding of trends in the industry and the marketplaces for services, software, hardware, and telecommunications

  • Delivery oriented self-starter with proven ability to drive change with speed

  • Able to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams to set objectives and produce results

  • Execution focused and is a positive relationship builder

  • Able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff at various levels




-Computer Skills:




  • Strong PC skills

  • G Suite experience preferred
