Job Description


Summary:



Provides direction, oversight and leadership to the reporting and analytics team charged with providing centralized customer data, marketing & sales analytics and business insights in support of the entire CMSO organization. Drives functional and in-depth analysis & insights across all lines of business within the CMSO organization, ensuring best practices in database design.



Duties and Responsibilities:



Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:




  • Executes CMSO vision, strategy and implementation methodologies to address data analytics



  • Oversees all reporting and analytics in support of the CMSO organization, to include daily, weekly and monthly reporting; daily dashboards & activity metrics; All Hands presentations; decks supporting board of directors' meetings; headcount reporting/analysis; Salesforce account assignments; managing quota files; and all ad hoc analysis

  • Manages the Forecasting and Budgeting responsibilities on behalf of the CMSO organization

  • Ensures strong liaison and partnership with representatives from Information Technology; creating efficient and accurate reporting capability

  • Ensures best practices for database design are followed for various types of platforms, such as transactional, aggregation, structured and unstructured data sets

  • Leverages data for use in support of the budget, forecast, headcount management, and expense management processes

  • Leverage in-house capability to minimize the use of outsourced resources

  • Ensures data information flows occur with maximum efficiency and effectiveness through all sources including data warehouses and internal downstream systems

  • Utilizes knowledge of business intelligence, enterprise data management and big data concepts to enable effective executive decision making

  • Employ predictive modelling skills to anticipate business conditions, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership

Education/Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technologies strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis and/or business intelligence, preferably in a recurring revenue/subscription type business

  • Proven track record of success in strategic roles; with 8+ year's experience in leading teams

  • Proven experience and effectiveness in marketing & sales analytics; customer analytics; predictive modelling skills

  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (ie, data collection, data analysis, data distribution, data consumption, etc.)

  • Complex problem solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective, including root cause analysis

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams by providing coaching, guidance, encouragement, and overall support

  • Thorough knowledge of project management, which includes the ability to define and delegate roles and tasks

  • Must be able to manage changes to requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools

  • Strong leadership, project management, time management and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills; and proven ability to work effectively cross functionally



Computer Skills:



Advanced knowledge of standard desktop business applications, macros and database query tools.
