Job Description

The Data Center Manager is responsible for providing organization, direction and leadership to data center operations employees and interacting with current and prospective customers to ensure excellent, scalable and repeatable customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Collaborate across all levels of Data Center and Cloud services engineering and management to produce and manage a best in class product

  • Lead operational staff on projects such as diagram creation, provisioning, auditing management system administration, monitoring system design and administration

  • Provide training and guidance to all employees as needed

  • Manage daily operations for Data Center Operations

  • Lead all aspects of Data Center physical facilities

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6 years minimum experience in a leadership role or a combination of both



Experience/Skills Needed:

  • Previous enterprise and customer support experience

  • Proven track record of leading, managing teams in the technical/telecommunications environment

  • Background in Data Center and Cloud Services with an understanding of all aspects of the operations and sales for these services

  • Demonstrated ability to read, create and understand budgeting

  • Must possess a strong ability to lead, train and motivate employees

  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to clearly communicate

  • Demonstrated success in sales environment for telecom/cloud/data services

  • Ability to multitask effectively

  • Strong analytical verbal and written skills





Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of routers, switches, Ds1, Ds3, Fiber Optics, TCP/IP, OSI, Cisco CLI and server environments

  • Advanced systems administration and networking skillset

  • Able to create presentations
