Job Description

Summary:


The Compensation Analyst oversees and participates in aspects of compensation including compensation program communication and training, program metrics and survey reporting. This position is also responsible for the governance and operating model over WOW!'s compensation programs to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, as well as SEC and other regulatory bodies.



Duties & Responsibilities:


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:



  • Oversee the administrative aspects of the Company's compensation program, with responsibility for governance and oversight of several program components including job architecture, job leveling and pay practices

    • Ensure Compensation programs are consistent with Company's pay philosophy and competitive by participating in and managing vendor benchmarking salary surveys






    • Evaluate the impact of compensation program design changes on employee engagement, retention and attraction of new talent

    • Ensure that the Compensation program is in compliance with all required state and federal laws and regulations and that all required reporting is completed in a timely manner including notification to employees


  • Assist employees with stock account activation, administrative and other transactional needs related to equity

  • Provide support as required for any Compensation related matters


    • Assist with compensation evaluation and design reviews as needed

    • Monitor, track and report on legislation, regulations and media articles pertaining to overall compensation and executive pay


  • Provide annual reporting for filing FCC, VET, Affirmative Action Plans and EEO as needed

  • Administer, monitor and distribute reports based on HR analytics compiled by outside vendors and/or participate in implementation of internal HR metrics and analytics system

Education:


Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.



Experience:


5+ years of experience in managing Compensation programs within a medium-to-large business environment. Previous experience working in HR, Consulting or Telecommunications Industry a plus. Because this position is privy to confidential and sensitive information, candidates must demonstrate integrity, discretion and accountability. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail are pre-requisite. In addition, candidates must have:



  • Understanding of Compensation practices

  • Demonstrated an understanding of employment and labor laws and regulations related to compensation and job design

  • Demonstrated an understanding of the theories and principles of internal and external market analysis

  • Demonstrated an understanding of the broader business implications of decisions

  • May be responsible for identifying and resolving systemic issues related to workforce planning, job design or compensation analysis

  • Strong oral and written skills to prepare comprehensive and clear written documents, presentations and policies

  • Strong analytical skills needed to review statistical results to make practical and meaningful recommendations

  • Excellent organization and time management skills to manage competing priorities

  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and mature business skills

  • Work well in a team environment


Computer Skills:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
