Job Description

Product Manager-Commercial



The Product Manager-Commercial will be responsible for new product initiatives, launching a leading product development process (from ideation to successful product launch), and responsibility for lifecycle management of existing product lines. This role manages Input gathering, budgeting and authoring of product requirements definition and plans for execution for development. The role will lead products work with multiple departments and operate in a cross functional environment with numerous key stakeholders to achieve company objectives.



Duties & Responsibilities:



Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:




  • Manage cable product initiatives relating to existing program improvement, new initiative implementation, and pricing and packaging strategy.

  • Assist with developing and implementing ongoing product tactics (i.e. pricing updates, product enhancements) in support of the Company's objectives.

  • Monitor industry developments (technical, regulatory and otherwise) and apply critical thinking for strategic and consumer impact analysis.

  • Work with Finance to create and revise product business case analysis as needed for existing and new initiatives.

  • Assist in establishing metrics to analyze project performance where relevant and needed.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance reporting to ensure growth objectives are on track.

  • Provide product development support to cable telephony and Internet products where needed.

  • Develop marketing communications and customer education materials in support of product launches.

  • Maintain open communication with field, technical and operational support groups to accomplish project implementation and company-wide initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education




  • College Degree or equivalent related experience



Experience/Skills Needed:



  • Previous experience with a successful track record of leading products and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments to achieve company objectives.

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Product Development Process

  • Related industry experience (Cable, Telecommunications)

  • Minimum 2 years experience

  • Experience with telephony, telecommunications, data networking

  • Strong financial analysis and project management skills

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Solid understanding of telecommunications product operations & industry developments

  • Some understanding of evolving industry technical and regulatory developments.

  • Some understanding of operational processes from call handling to provisioning to dispatch to fulfillment and servicing.

  • Some understanding of IT support systems

  • Excellent organization and project management skills

  • Excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills



Computer Skills:



Excellent computer skills including MS Office & MS Project
