As a Cloud Automation Engineer at Wow!, you will have an opportunity to define new patterns for building, deploying, and supporting modern, cloud-based, distributed applications on Amazon AWS, using tools like AWS Config, Lambda, Cloudformation, and Chef.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

* Define standards, patterns, and best practices to aid public cloud adoption and establish a secure, reliable platform for innovation
* Develop, test, deploy, and manage automation code to provide centralized governance and oversight
* Build dashboards and reports to provide visibility into AWS operational, financial, and security compliance
* Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources and operating systems instances
* Provide guidance and expertise to project teams around continuous delivery, build automation, and cloud infrastructure.
* Evaluate new tools and technologies to facilitate the continuous delivery of products and services and increase agility

Primary Work Arrangements

* This role will report directly to SVP, OSS
* This role will be a member of the Cloud Services team.
* This role may also work closely with separate project teams and solution architects.
* This role will collaborate with members of the business, project teams and IT staff as needed to fulfill the responsibilities described above.

Systems & Business Knowledge

* Experience building and managing cloud-based solutions on AWS. Experience with AWS technologies, especially EC2, S3, Lambda, and AWS Config
* Experience in application development. Development and testing experience with node.js, Ruby, and/or Python preferred.
* System administration experience using Windows and Linux. Experience with container technologies a plus.
* Experience with configuration management (especially Chef)
* Experience with build automation and CI orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Team City, Code Pipeline, etc.
* Understanding of core networking concepts (sub-netting, routing, name resolution, DHCP, etc.)
* Knowledge and experience with source control programs, especially git
* Knowledge of principles of Agile, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration
* Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
* Minimum of five years of hands-on design and implementation experience in IT, with knowledge and experience in application development as well as systems infrastructure.
