Job Description

This position is responsible for provisioning Telephony product moving from other carriers to our Network in addition to internal conception. This position provides support in the day-to-day operations of the Telephony Operations department responds to internal customers regarding Telephony inquiries, order provisioning, port in and port out process, Directory Assistance, Directory Listings, 911 while meeting customer expectations and incorporating WOW’s Core Values.



Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Respond to internal customers regarding Telephony inquiries, order provisioning, port in and port out process, Directory assistance, Directory listings, 911 while meeting customer expectations.
  • Understands task dependencies and timing required to provide customer with a seamless installation.
  • Maintains customer records associated with the order process, including order status inventory and back orders.
  • Internal support for maintaining accuracy and completion of multiple database information entries.
  • Keep coordinator/administrator advised of any operational issues with regard to the order management process.
  • Completion of order – 911, LIDB and Directory Assistance information.
  • Manages Local Number Portability process and informs customer of process and completion date of LNP.
  • Interact with all departments to ensure that Residential installs are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Manage movement of orders through various departments to meet customer needs and monitor all stages of implementation up to and through delivery.
  • Strive to streamline and improve efficiency of all the above tasks and procedures
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:



A High School diploma is required; some college coursework a plus.   Additional requirements for this position include customer service and order entry experience.  Applicant must also be efficient, resourceful, detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to Multi-task.

Computer Skills:

  • Ability to use Word processing, Internet software and e-mail
  • Must be capable of becoming proficient in the use of all internal billing systems and internal knowledge tool (training provided)
