The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations is responsible for the creation and execution of WOW!’s residential and marketing plans as they pertain to our greenfield initiatives, competitive views and local marketing reporting and analytics in order to drive improved brand health, lead generation, revenue, and subscriber connects while overseeing and managing the greenfield marketing budget. The Senior Manager provides leadership and oversight to all greenfield marketing plans as well as the development of marketing strategy and execution for all greenfield sponsorships and events for both SFU/MDU.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below.
Develops and executes greenfield marketing plans and programs in tandem with the Senior Director of Integrated Planning to fulfill specific business needs, including the development of strategic objectives, creative operations, communications strategy, and tracking and reporting
Build and cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to drive strategic joint business planning initiatives.
Manages the competitive research efforts and facilitates updates to the competitive playbook working cross-functionally with the GIS team and local market stakeholders to establish a consistent competitive understanding and approach for market localization
Develops and executes on all greenfield market branding and collateral materials for technicians and Field Sales (door-to-door)
Directly manages a field marketing team that will coordinate and execute hyper-local events and blitzes in coordination with the field sales team
Oversees, creates and executes acquisition direct mail marketing lists and distribution as our greenfield markets grow
Develops targeted strategy driving collaborative efforts with the Field Sales team for each new market released
Manages and is accountable for the overall budget and metrics for each functional area under greenfield marketing
Identifies, coordinates and executes strategic market-specific initiatives including, but not limited to partnerships, community needs, sponsorships and events
Partners with media director to leverage appropriate media
Provides in-market competitive offer insight to assist in the development of promotional strategies
Evaluates all greenfield market expansions from an individualized local perspective through customer contact, monitoring of competition, industry trends, market insights, and employee engagement and notify cross-functional greenfield teams of needed strategic changes
Establishes standardized tracking and reporting and communicates daily, weekly and monthly on marketing information to include, but not limited to: program updates, customer leads reports, results from scorecard and monthly marketing campaign performance
Manages ongoing compliance with assigned expense budgets and adheres to the invoicing and accrual guidelines
Coordinates production of all required marketing and consumer materials while ensuring consistency with company strategy and branding
Ensures proper usage and execution of brand standards and assets
Provides excellent internal customer service and maintains open communication with all employees, management and staff
Performs other duties as assigned

Education:
Four-year college degree in Marketing or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and training
Experience/Skills Needed:
A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience is required
3-5+ years of leadership experience required
3-5+ years of experience working with business leaders to develop and execute local marketing campaigns
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to communicate and work proactively with internal customers to identify marketing needs, recommend solutions and provide marketing counsel as needed to ensure the most positive business outcome
Strong attention to detail, organization skills and excellent follow-through
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while providing excellent follow-through
Strategic thinker who can articulate objectives, develop creative and manage projects to meet those objectives
Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to write/edit a variety of marketing communication pieces
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with strong customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external audiences
Ability to develop and communicate marketing presentations to executives
Previous Cable TV/Internet/telecom industry experience preferred
