Senior Director, Sales MDU

The primary function of the Sr. Director of Sales, Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU) is to lead, develop and manage a team of MDU Account Executives to maximize the penetration of WOW! products and services in new and existing MDU properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for day-to-day sales activity management, funnel activity, territory management, and customer focused sales efforts for a team of MDU account executives

  • Develop, lead and implement a sales strategy for the market area

  • Identify potential areas for network expansion for both Commercial and Residential Properties

  • Participate in community and industry-related events to further develop the opportunities to procure new business

  • Provide end-to-end customer sales and service, in-depth product knowledge and support for the sales channel to include presentations, contracts and negotiations, sales materials, and implementation coordination

  • Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding assigned sales objectives

  • Secure ROE's & Consent/Riser Agreements in support of expanding our network into Residential and Commercial Properties

  • Negotiate Access Agreements with MDU Property Owners

  • Drive relationships with key property owners/property management companies

  • Manage and coordinate across multiple departments within the organization in order to build out to various properties

  • Responsible for developing ROI models for capital expenditure approvals and building business models for new growth opportunities

  • Manage, supervise and responsible for functions relative to staffing including selection, training, development, performance management, and termination of the MDU Account Executives

  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate MDU activities with senior leadership and stakeholders to maximize MDU investments and revenues

  • Oversee and audit payments for Revenue Share on a monthly basis

  • Participate in the planning and preparation, forecasting, and maintaining and monitoring of the departmental budget

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience


  • 12+ years related work experience required

  • 7+ years' experience managing a team of sales executives, telecommunications industry required

  • Technical experience required in network design, property survey, and production/solution presentation to customer staff and management

  • Proven track record of successful professional sales experience

  • Experience with contracts and contract negotiations

  • Experience with securing Right of Entry/ Consent Agreements

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Computer Skills:

  • Experience using G Suite and Microsoft Office products

  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, Internet software and email

  • Ability to learn new software systems and access online support/tools.
