Outbound Sales Specialist - Business

An Outbound Sales Specialist will use a variety of tools, resources and skills to achieve multiple sales goals. This position is responsible to make calls to existing and potential commercial customers to sell the company products and services that best meet their needs; including working closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure quality sales leads and high close rates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Meet sales goals by achieving a targeted number of connects and upgrades- relative to budget and department objectives, working dedicated projects and assignments

  • Ask/schedule follow-up discussion, and proactively recommend additional products or services to increase customer satisfaction and revenue

  • Maintain standard framework processes & procedures regarding customer contact within the prescribed touch-points or cadence

  • Follow-up with each existing and potential customers in a timely manner

  • Accurately assess individual customer needs and issues to recommend appropriate features, benefits and value of the company product

  • Adjust content of sales discussion to meet the specific needs of an individual customer's line of business

  • Work to sell all lines of business relative to marketing campaigns and initiatives

  • Perform outbound cold and warm calls to potential and current assigned customers expressing interest in company products or services or leads from designated data-bases or marketing lists

  • Develop and solidify customer relationships

  • Follow outlined process for accurate and timely installation, security (customer and company), order entry, and disclosure (all requirements)

  • Record and maintain customer data and interactions through sales automation / CRM, and databases in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Follow the EPIC call flow and process to maximize sales potential

  • Maintain knowledge of current company procedures, packages, and policies; additionally, communicate competitive information obtained through customer interaction and research with the management team

  • Attend all coaching and development meetings including huddles and participate with professional observations and feedback

  • Stay current on all marketing plans, industry trends and competitor activities

  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • College education in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred

    Experience/Skills Needed:

  • At least 3-5 years of sales experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication skills including active listening skills, the ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as scorecard metrics/data, safety rules, sales presentations, product information and training materials

  • Able to manage projects and tasks independently as part of a virtual team

  • Use persuasive techniques effectively to overcome objections

  • Have ability to solve practical problems presented by customers

  • Have a resilient, positive attitude

  • Ability to multi-task and function effectively and consistently in a fast-paced call center environment

    Computer Skills:

  • Experience using a unified contact solution or outbound dialer a plus

  • Need to be windows proficient and capable of learning complex billing systems; ICOM's or USHA experience a plus

  • Need to be Microsoft Office and G-Suite proficient

  • Customer Relationship Management CRM (i.e., Salesforce experience) a plus
