Job Description

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will manage and perform work directly related to the creation, analysis, and forecasting of company financials.  The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager collaborates and partners with various cross-functional departments to design and access financial, operations, and customer data, create models, identify trends and assess the financial impact of key activities to ensure sound financial decision making.  Responsible for complex financial modeling, forecasting, specials projects, and other analysis as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Perform analysis and modeling of customer, financial or operational data and provide insights to drive profitability through complex data collection and analysis partnering with cross-functional teams

  • Responsible for preparation and analysis of financial and other operational reporting. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis

    • P&L Budgeting, tracking, and forecasting across various aspects of the business

  • Develop strategies to enhance reporting and the analysis of trends

  • Develop and manage departmental processes to ensure efficiency

  • Research and employ advanced techniques in gathering/mining customer, operational or financial data for use in sophisticated financial analysis

  • Execute value-added analysis and decision support for key business projects and initiatives, including evaluating ROI for spend and revenue scenarios

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with an Accounting or Finance concentration required

  • 5-8 years of proven complex financial analysis experience, preferably in a comparable industry 

  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial issues and analysis

  • Understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow interactions

  • Ability to evaluate complex financial analyses, proactively define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Must be able to manage conflicting priorities and to meet established timelines while maintaining accuracy in their work

  • Must possess an approachable and professional demeanor, have highly effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-based environment and to interface with all levels of employees

Computer Skills:

  • Advanced level experience in all Microsoft products, especially Excel & PowerPoint.  Experience in Google G Suite, NetSuite, and TM1 Reporting preferred.

The minimum base pay salary for this position is $92,000. Salary may be negotiable based on experience. The minimum salary does not include any other pay elements in which this position may be eligible.
