Job Description

The E-commerce Sales Specialist uses a variety of tools, resources, and skills to achieve online conversion and sales goals. This E-commerce sales role handles sales click-to-chat sessions, inbound and outbound sales calls, and online store order fallout from current and potential customers to sell WOW! Products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Achieve a target number of New Connects, Conversion rate, Bundle Sell-in, and Whole-Home WiFi Sell-in - relative to budget
  • Provide an excellent customer experience shopping on wowway.com engaging the customer with product knowledge, professional courtesy, and support.
  • Accurately assess individual customer needs and issues to recommend appropriate features, benefits, and value of WOW’s products. Working to sell all lines of the business relative to marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Field incoming chat requests and inbound calls with customers/potential customers expressing interest in WOW products or services
  • Effectively perform outbound contact associated with the online leads/online store fallout in an attempt to actively acquire new customers
  • Follow the sales process to maximize sales potential
  • Follows current company procedures, packages, and policies; additionally, communicate competitive information obtained through customer interaction with the management team
  • Attend all coaching and development meetings including huddles and participate with professional observations and feedback
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College education in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • At least one year of sales experience required
  • Able to read and interpret documents (scorecard metrics/data, safety rules, sales presentations, product information/services, and training materials)
  • Excellent communication skills: including active listening skills, the ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and via chat
  • Able to document customer interactions and organize follow-up
  • Use persuasive techniques effectively to overcome objections
  • Ability to respond to chat requests by clarifying information and assisting with the completion of online sales transactions
  • Multi-tasking skills required with the ability to handle multiple chats at once with attention to detail

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient use of G-Suite
  • Experiences with ICOMS billing systems and Salesforce a plus
  • Customer Relationship Management CRM (ie Salesforce) experience a plus
  • Experience using a dialer a plus
