Job Description

This position will be responsible for handling a variety of inbound legal and compliance related requests from customers, law enforcement, other agencies and firms.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Receive and process Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) violations in accordance with designated Company procedures.
  • Interact with customers on compliance related matters, providing education and other remedial actions as appropriate (e.g., mailing written violation notices, suspending/restoring service, etc.)  
  • Provide support as necessary to Manager Compliance in the handling of subpoenas and court orders from Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) and other agencies (i.e., obtaining requested subscriber information, customer call history records, billing, credit history information, etc.).
  • Provide support as necessary to Manager Compliance in the investigation of toll related fraud. 
  • Coordinate closely with all internal and external groups which are required to support the DMCA, toll fraud, subpoena, court order and CALEA (Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) intercept functions (i.e., corporate and field network operations, Sales Operation, Engineering, etc.).
  • May periodically be "On Call" on a 24 X 7 basis to receive and process exigent requests from LEA's that come in after normal business hours or on holidays and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years administrative experience in a financial or legal support role required with two years customer service experience preferred

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • Prior legal administrative experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of the CALEA ACT of 1994 and knowledge of federal and state laws (helpful but not required).
  • Knowledge of Subpoenas, court orders, pen registers, and Title III wire taps (helpful but not required).
  • Knowledge of Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)
  • Good understanding of business operations, switch locations, phone features and services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers in all areas of the company and with outside vendors and the various LEA's.
  • General understanding of basic network operations and related terminology.
  • Must be very detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the information provided to the LEA's.
  • Must maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and personal integrity when dealing with confidential requests for customer information or when dealing with sensitive internal employee/contractor issues.

Computer Skills:

  • Thorough familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products

The minimum base pay salary for this position is $54,000. Salary may be negotiable based on experience. The minimum salary does not include any other pay elements in which this position may be eligible.
